ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY (ASB)
Student Government/Leadership
Student Government Mission Statement
The mission is to inspire, serve, lead, and support fellow students to uphold SRV's atmosphere of spirit and positivity. Our main focus is establishing community and ensuring all students have a home at San Ramon Valley.
The Leadership Class at San Ramon High School is composed of about 118 students, both elected and appointed. The executive body consists of 12 students who were elected during the Spring Semester of the previous school year. Along with the ASB executive team, Leadership consists of in-house positions including PTSA and Site Council representatives, Class Officers, and District Representatives.
Meetings:
Business meetings are held in room D101 during 4th (Thursdays) and 5th period (Wednesdays)
ASB / Student Council Duties and Responsibilities
Over the course of the year, Leadership organizes various events including Rallies, Assemblies, Homecoming and its festivities, assemblies, spirit activities, staff and student events, and programs like Breaking Down the Walls, Every 15 Minutes, and runs the Renaissance program. Students engage in the process of planning events and influencing issues that affect our student body in the hopes to improve climate, and continue to make SRV the Home of Champions.
Aside from planning many events, Leadership keeps track of San Ramon High School’s budget, serves as high school representatives on the school board, and facilitates House of Representatives. We incorporate the voice of our student body in this process in order to encourage involvement and raise student morale.
