Parking/Driving Regulations

All drivers of motorized vehicles are to observe existing state and local vehicle codes. Drivers and passengers must obey all school
regulations and observe safety at all times while in a vehicle or about school property. Students who endanger others in the parking
lots or surrounding streets by speeding or other reckless driving will subject to school consequences and/or citation by police.
Disciplinary action by SRVHS may include, but is not limited to, loss or suspension of parking pass, student suspension, or more
severe consequences.
The following are specific SRVHS rules that must be observed:

  1. The current SRVHS parking sticker must be affixed to the window and visible.
  2. All carpool members must be in the vehicle when parking.
  3. The speed limit in all school parking lots is 5 MPH!
  4. Parking in unauthorized spots is forbidden. Vehicles that are illegally parked are subject to ticketing or towing at owner’s expense. Drivers who continually violate these parking rules will have the parking pass revoked and are subject to school disciplinary action (Ed Code 48990 subsection K).
  5. Loitering is prohibited in all school parking lots during the school day.
  6. Students may not use their vehicles as a locker or to eat in. All school parking lots are off-limits during the school day and students who ignore this rule are subject to disciplinary action.
  7. Reckless or any unsafe driving on or about school campus is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.
  8. If your vehicle is parked on campus legally or not, it is subject to search by the administration or a designee.
  9. The parking spot assigned to you is the property of the SRVUSD, and as you are the lessee, you may not give permission for another student to park in that spot. Doing so may result in disciplinary action.

If your parking spot is not available for you, please park in the pool parking lot. DO NOT PARK IN ANOTHER PERSON’S SPOT. Then
proceed to the attendance office to sign in for a temporary parking pass.

Campus lots are randomly monitored for carpooling. If you are found to be in violation of the parking contract these consequences
may be enforced:

  • 1st Offence: Warning; parents contacted
  • 2nd Offence: Detention; parents contacted
  • 3rd Offence: Permit suspension for 1 month; parents contacted
  • 4th Offence: Permit suspended for 1 semester; parents contacted

Remember parking in the SRVHS lot is a privilege. Observing these rules and regulations show your respect for your peers and
SRVHS in general. The expectation is that you will help keep our campus a safe and positive environment.
