Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2019-20 school year! I always greet each school year with a renewed commitment to my primary goal of empowering students to achieve their educational potential. I believe we can build on the successes of our past and also continue to create new traditions that make San Ramon Valley High School the "Home of Champions."

After a very successful 2018-2019 year, which included a full cycle of WASC self-study/accreditation earing SRVHS a 6-year accreditation, we are very excited to build upon what we learned through the process. For more information, please see 2018 SRVHS WASC Visit Summary.

I am excited to ask you to join us as we strive toward reaching the goals of our Core Values: 

“SRVHS believes that a meaningful education is a shared responsibility involving students, staff, family and community. We value a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment, where students will have the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential as ethical, resilient, and innovative global citizens.” 

SRVHS Student Learning Outcomes:

1. San Ramon Valley High School students will demonstrate                  proficiency in curricular knowledge and essential skills. 

2. San Ramon Valley High School students will demonstrate                 creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. 

3. San Ramon Valley High School students will demonstrate                  integrity, personal responsibility, and citizenship. 

4. San Ramon Valley High School students will demonstrate inclusivity, empathy, and compassion within their community. 

Another focus of the school year will be the SRVUSD priority to "In partnership with employee groups, students, parents and communities, we will effectively communicate and Implement our Framework for Excellence, with a focus on a customer-service mindset, equity for all, and accountability as leaders. 

Multi-tiered systems of support to ensure that each student reaches high levels of success.

  • Social-emotional learning: Prioritize the social emotional health and well-being of our students through a focus on safety, mental wellness and cultural responsiveness, to ensure that each student feels safe, secure, and respected in the least restrictive and most inclusive setting.

  • Academic excellence: ensure each student learns at high levels by providing Equitable access to a current, relevant and world-class curriculum and quality instruction that is responsive to meeting full assessment.

  • Personalized learning: Continue to expand Learner centered experiences, opportunities and options for students and families while providing Equitable access and eliminating barriers.

Respectful Learning and Working Environment

  • Provide safe, supportive, and inclusive workplaces in which employees feel valued and are engaged in meaningful collaboration focused on the multi-tiered systems of support and continuous Improvement.

Fiscal responsibility

  • Continue to evaluate results and cautiously allocate Resources with a commitment to ongoing Improvement

I am excited about the partnerships we will build in the upcoming year and beyond. Through teamwork and valuing outside perspectives, I am committed to making San Ramon Valley High School the best possible place for students. I wish you the very best this school year. Go Wolves!
